Pictures from a poetic land
Travelling through China, is like reading poetry.Song: My Motherland
This is really old song. It was sang in the period during the 1950s - 80s. The "the jackal" refers the anti communist Americans.Wave billowing on a great wide river,
Wind blowing the scent of rice flower,
My home is situated right on the banks.
Used to the sound of boatsman's howl,
Used to the sight of white sail,
This is my beautiful motherland,
Where I will grow and develop.
On this broad land,
Radiant and enchanting sight you will find.
Fine girls akin to flowers,
Young men so munificent.
In the interest of creating new earth and heaven,
Awake the deep sleeping alps,
Allow the stream of rivers to change.
This is my heroic motherland,
Where I will grow and develop,
On this ancient land,
Blooming strength of youth all over you will find.
Fine mountain, fine water, a fine place,
And every road is wide.
Friends arrive, quality wine is provided,
But if that jackal appears,
waits it is the modern spear.
This is my mighty motherland,
Where I will grow and develop.
On this warm piece of land,
Peace and Sunshine you will find everywhere.
Patriotism
China is my home, although I lived away from her, I have always considered it as home. Whenever I am reunited with her, everything just feels right.Whenever I listen to this Chinese song, I experience an incredible surge of Emotion. The feeling is overwhelming, my heart fills my chest. The sky has just widen, comprising everything. It can rescue you out of bottomless pits. It gives you hope when everything is hopeless.
